Spring is around the corner
Impromptu Op 66 #
Practicing the Passenger, I find it difficult to get the lyrics right, so it is a good cognitive exercise to make effort to get it right. I can vary the patterns I play on the guitar, rhythm, and melody to counter the earworm/dopamine overflow quality of the song. Extensively practicing the same song in a monotonous manner is not musical, nor pleasant. Maybe I should have a repertoire of songs to practice, and give up the yearning to record a perfect sounding song.
Rational numbers #
I thought rational numbers were "rational", as they are pronounced, related to reason, and just learnt that they are ratios. Perhaps it would be more accurate to pronounce them "ratio-nal". Or are they prononounced ratio-nal? Ratio is reason, so how does the ratio of quantities relate to reason?
